Evaluation:
I have decided to focus on the segment of gun
owners or people looking to purchase a firearm.
The three people I interviewed was a male in his mid 40’s who is a gun
owner, a female in her mid 40’s who owns a gun, and a male in his late 20’s
looking to purchase a gun.
In order fro my service to be effective the quality
of the test matters the most to these customers. If it isn’t good quality than
there would be no beneficial effect of having this service in place. When
interviewing the male in his mid 40’s he made it very clear that this service
would really be helpful but only if the test was actually structured properly
to be effective, which probably means there will be somewhat of a trial and
error before belong able to implement this service. Each of the interviewees
said that they’d be willing to pay the extra fee for processing the test if it
meant that it would stop others who shouldn’t have a firearm from purchasing
one.
·
How/where
do they buy it?
For this service they will have to go to one
of many psychiatrist to have the test done. However, even if this does seem
like an inconvenience if someone really does want a gun they should be willing
to do it. Plus, many gun owners, based
on my interviewers, like the idea of having something else besides a background
check; it just ensures that we are being safer rather than sorry later on. Once
they have taken this test they can then go into the gun shop and the owner of
that store will then request the background check along with this test to be
processed. the male in his mid 20's did express that he thinks he will feel intimidated and slightly nervous going to a psychiatrist for this but would be willing to do it.

Post
Purchase Evaluation:
When these customers think back on the
rightness of the purchase they will remember that this was just a small extra
thing that had to be done to ensure the right people own firearms. When asking
the female in her mid 40’s how she will know if using this service is a good
idea she responded that having this instilled allows for there to be
psychological reasoning for why someone can or cannot purchase a firearm and
allows her to have a little more peace in the back of her mind that extra steps
have been taken in deciding whether or not someone can purchase a firearm.
Draw Conclusions:
Through my interviews, the questions I asked based on the
three categories above allowed me to learn that they are all willing to go and
purchase this service as long as the quality of it will be effective for our
society overall. It also become apparent that going to a psychiatrist to get
the test done isn’t a huge inconvenience that would turn them away from purchasing
a gun since the benefits outweigh it, and after purchasing the firearm they
will feel satisfaction that they are capable to own a gun and others who are
not will be turned away.
